Description

Dear Smith School Families,

Keeping up with the Smith tradition, our K-5 classes will have Halloween-themed activities and a costume parade at the end of October. Please note the change to the schedule for Thursday, October 31, 2024.

On this day, all students will be dismissed to go home for lunch at 11:30 AM and return to school at 1:15 PM. Students are encouraged to change into a costume. Families are invited to enjoy the outdoor Costume Parade which will begin by 1:30 PM weather permitting. The crossing guards will be present for the additional dismissal and arrival times.

Please let your student’s teacher and main office know if your student(s) need to stay at school. The HSA school lunch will not be served. Students who stay in school must bring lunch in with them from home.

Upon their return, students will report to their classrooms at 1:15 PM The parade will begin at 1:30 PM. Families may gather around the perimeter of the building and the field to view the parade. Please stay off the sidewalks as our classes walk in the parade. There will be an opportunity for class photos at the end of the parade on the upper field. Families are not permitted to enter the school building on this day.
