Kindergarten & 1st Grade Author Visit

Dear Kindergarten and 1st Grade Parents,

We are happy to announce a special event on Thursday, May 14th, for our youngest readers at Smith School. Students in Kindergarten and First Grade will visit with first-time children’s book author, Lillian Pagano (a retired Kindergarten teacher).

Lillian is the author of the inspirational new picture book, Bao Bao, the Baby Panda. This book has reached the best-sellers rank in Children’s Asian & Asian American Books, as well as Children’s Books in the U.S. The story, inspired by Lillian’s connection with two young students in China, explores themes of friendship and openness to new adventures, while empowering children to be problem solvers when they encounter obstacles in life.
